Artist Biography: Zhuo Shu Liang was born in 1953 in China and raised in a family of artists.  His first painting was published in China Children’s Magazine at the age of 6.  Before coming to the United States in 1982, he studied realism-style painting at the Central Academe of Fine Art in Beijing.  Later he earned his Bachelor’s Degree of Fine Art in illustration at the Massachusetts College of Art and a Master’s Degree of Fine Art in painting at Boston University. 

Liang has participated throughout the country in many group and solo exhibitions. Several of his mythological murals are permanently installed in New York City, and his works have been sold through Christie’s oil painting auctions.  His works are in corporate and private collections throughout the United States and many other countries, including Sheraton Corporation, Marriott Corporation, Weseda University Tokyo and the West Point Museum. 

Among the many awards Liang has received are the Best of Show and People’s Choice at the American Society of Portrait Artists, the Arthur Ross Award for Paining at the Classical America New York, and the Lila Acheson Wallace Award for Painting at the Society of American Illustrators.
