The Paintings Of Yellowstone
A Retrospective Show August, 2007
Albert Bierstadt (1830-1902)
The vision for this show was inspired by the masters, Moran and Bierstadt. Their
legendary paintings captured the awe-inspiring landscapes of
Yellowstone over a century ago, and by now have probably inspired
countless artists to make a trip to our nation’s oldest national park.
The Paintings of Yellowstone show is the result of Steve Zabel’s vision
to create a collection of the very best paintings of the park from a
variety of today’s leading western artists, as well as several historic
works. As
the owner of Montana Trails Gallery in Bozeman, Montana, Steve took it
upon himself to organize a show that features multiple artists’ works
from all around Yellowstone National Park.
A
sample of these works are shown below, we hope you like what you see
and can make it to the gallery to see this impressive display in person.
