J.C. Dye is a Montana rancher turned sculptor. Inspired by his ranch and wildlife surroundings, he is completely self-taught. The labors of ranch life prepared him for the rigors of monumental sculpture of which he creates one to two a year. Dye was inspired early on to pursue an artistic career and is now one of the country’s leading western sculptors. His small-scale bronzes and monumental installations have been greatly inspired by his life as a rancher, working cowboy and avid outdoorsman. Dye recently completed a monumental sculpture, the largest in the state of Wyoming, for the city of Casper.
